The Paleontology Museum, part of the University of Alberta's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, is a must-visit destination in Edmonton. Established in 1935, the museum showcases extensive collections featuring fossil specimens that span over 600 million years of Earth’s history. The department has earned a reputation for excellence in teaching and research, making it one of the largest and most well-supported of its kind in Canada.
Our mission is to engage the public in the wonders of paleontology and geology, providing insights into our planet's past through interactive exhibitions. We serve the Edmonton community and beyond, with free admission available, allowing everyone to explore the depths of paleontological knowledge housed right here in Alberta.
